Mastering my craft never ends! And I like it this way ... learning brings me joy and satisfaction of accomplishment. It is an amazing feeling! Over the last few years I have invested a lot of time in my professional development so I can provide exceptional service to my clients. 

This time I spent a few October days in Phoenix, AZ at the prestigious event - The Portrait Masters. Wow! It was truly an unforgettable event! An awesome time to catch up with my old friends whom I haven't seen for the last two years. I believe you have an idea why ... 2020 took over our lives and schedules.

It was a fantastic event happening at Warehouse 215 located in the heart of Phoenix's urban-chic Warehouse District. The place has an industrial vibe to it, with old brick walls, tall ceilings, and a beautifully landscaped patio. Parts of it reminded me of our Bricktown warehouses. The place was filled with dozens of different shooting bays and models so we could learn, create, and get inspired. Each bay was tended by a world-class photographer/mentor. They came from all over the world to share their knowledge and selflessly offered help and guidance. Two days of empowerment and creativity! I have learned a ton. Hands-on experience in posing and lighting is gold. Such training makes me a better photographer. Can I tell you how challenging it is to wing it? It's my goal to eliminate uncomfortable in front of the camera even if it's never-ending just like a rabbit hole. ;)

Soon, I will be introducing artificial lights to my studio. Learning how to use strobes is a beast that I'd like to conquer, the sooner the better. It's time to stop relying on unreliable Oklahoma weather. ;)

It was such a treat to be among the incredible community of amazing photographers and mentors. Making memories with old friends is one of the best times in my life. Adding new friends is a blessing! What can I say? We had a blast being together, creating together, sharing meals and good wine together, and spending money together. Ha! Cannot get any better than that, right? I. LOVED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. EVENT. Each day ended in happy exhaustion! I needed to replenish myself so I landed in the Sonoran Desert for a few days ... but that's another story.
